Bhavani Dogday ★★★☆☆

Review of 'Bhavani Dogday' which can be found here on Vimeo.

Length: 03:39
Directed by Paul Windridge
Genre: Music Video
Date: 2011
Rating: ★★★☆☆

Logline: Trippy visuals to music.

This is probably the most simple music video you can make. A kaleidoscopic special effect against the silhouette of some people walking about, set to the music of 00 Newchair. So easy, a child could do it. The visuals suit the audio track at least and help create a mellow trance-like atmosphere where you don't have to think too much and can sit back and relax.

The colour scheme ambles through the spectrum at good pace and there is the occasional instance where what's on screen kind of matches up with what you're hearing in an emotional sense. The upload quality is noticeably low grade if you decide to watch this full screen which is unfortunate as that's probably the best size to fully experience it.

With a distinct 1990's rave influence, you may find watching this while on drugs will either add to the experience or bring n a catastrophic flashback resulting in you peeling off your own skin. So watch at your own risk.

Best Bit: No brainer.

Worst Bit: Bit of a one trick pony this.

Final thought: Minus points for unoriginality.
